Matthew C. Jennings

Matthew C. Jennings - Co-Founder and CEO

Matt Jennings leads the executive team at Kingdom Trust. In 2009, Matt co-founded SBG 1320, LLC, the parent company of Kingdom Trust. A Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and licensed agent, Matt manages a multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio through SBG 1320 and its subsidiaries.

As a real estate developer and entrepreneur, Matt has enjoyed great success in real estate development, in construction and in the buying and selling of capital real estate investments. He is known for his sales and marketing prowess, an aggressive business philosophy, and trustworthiness, all of which have contributed to a successful career.

Matt’s interest in investing in real estate and other alternative assets through IRAs led him to co-found Kingdom Trust. Matt and his wife, Kelly, work daily in the business and are very passionate about assisting clients with alternative investing and custody needs.

Matt and Kelly have two children. Matt is active in the Murray, Kentucky, community, serving as member of the Murray-Calloway County Board of Realtors and as past member of the Murray City Code Enforcement Board and Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Charles “Bo” Ives

Charles “Bo” Ives - President

Charles “Bo” Ives is President of Kingdom Trust and has been with the company since its inception in 2010. As the company’s first Chief Operating Officer, Bo was instrumental in starting the firm, building critical processes and procedures and putting the necessary systems in place to complete the day-to-day work for its clients.

Bo has over 15 years’ experience in the self-directed retirement industry. Before joining Kingdom Trust, Bo served as Assistant Vice-President of Sterling Trust Company in Waco, Texas, where he helped build a client services group that worked to provide clients with accurate and efficient service.

Bo holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and serves on the Kingdom Trust Board of Directors. He and his wife, Holly, have been together for 23 years and have three sons.

Lisa Tabers

Lisa Tabers - COO

Lisa Tabers is the Chief Operating Officer at Kingdom Trust. Before joining Kingdom Trust, Lisa spent over a decade in the inhalation pharmacy business, with over half that time spent as Pharmacy Manager. She has been with Kingdom Trust since its inception in 2010, starting out in Client Services and later managing billing and other operational processes. Knowing the key responsibilities and processes of each department, Lisa has played an integral role in the growth of Kingdom Trust.

Lisa is married to her husband of 40 years, Jack. They have two children, Jody and Kelly, and four grandchildren.

Scott Foster

Scott Foster - SVP Institutional Custody

Scott Foster has spent over 30 years in the financial services business, with 25 years spent in the investment advisory business. He served for 10 years at several investment firms as a registered representative to high net worth clients. From 1993 to 2008, he was the senior relationship person for many of the largest US institutional equity clients at ABN Amro, DLJ, Credit Suisse, and Susquehanna International Group in the capital markets division. Since then, his focus has been in institutional custody.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky and serves on the university’s Board of Directors for the College of Arts and Sciences. Scott is also a 2015 University of Kentucky Tennis Hall of Fame Inductee.

Tim Kuhman

Tim Kuhman - SVP, General Counsel and Trust Officer

Tim Kuhman brings over 10 years of experience in the self-directed retirement industry. His career in the field began with a role as General Counsel for Equity Trust, who also specializes in providing custody services to Self-Directed IRA holders.

Tim helps develop the policies and procedures necessary to keep Kingdom Trust compliant with rules governing a highly regulated industry, serving as subject matter expert to the operations, customer service and sales teams. Others in the industry often seek his guidance and expertise on Self-Directed IRAs, and he is a frequent guest on webinars and national seminars where he speaks on the rules and regulations governing Self-Directed IRAs, prohibited transactions, and structuring deals that comply with those rules.

Tim has four sons: one attending Lorain County Community College, one attending the University of Memphis, one in active duty with the U.S. Army, and one who is a field engineer for Halliburton Company.

Jeremy Byars

Jeremy Byars - VP Communications & Education

Jeremy Byars has over a decade of experience in communications, writing and education, having spent much of his career as a freelance writer, editor and consultant. After completing two graduate degrees and teaching at the university level, Jeremy spent six years in mid- and upper-level management roles with national textbook companies where he specialized in customer service, purchasing and inventory management. He spearheads internal and external communications and education for Kingdom Trust.

Jeremy holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in English and was the first MFA graduate at Murray State University. He and his wife, Amy, have been together for over 15 years.
